Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a growing construction contracting company based in Dubai, UAE.

The role will focus on pre-contract quantity surveying, tendering and estimation, as well as post-contract cost control across building construction projects. The successful candidate will support project cost management throughout the full project lifecycle, ensuring strong commercial control and financial discipline.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role within the construction or contracting industry.
• Strong experience in BOQ preparation, tendering, estimation and cost control.
• Experience with WIP reporting, cost-to-complete and margin forecasting.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Experience in the UAE construction market is an advantage.

Responsibilities Duties:

• Prepare quantity take-offs, measurements and Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
• Support tendering and estimation activities, including pricing and commercial submissions.
• Review project drawings, specifications and tender documents.
• Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Monitor project budgets and cost performance.
• Track committed costs, actual costs and cost variances.
• Prepare monthly WIP reports and cost forecasts.
• Coordinate with Finance and Project teams to ensure accurate cost reporting.
• Support variation management, commercial administration and final accounts.Key Responsibilities
