Safety Officer
Job Description
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Safety Officer to join our construction project team in Al Wakra, Qatar. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in construction site safety, be well-versed with Qatar Labor Law and HSE regulations, and ensure full compliance with project safety standards.
Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Safety Officer in construction projects in Qatar.
• Strong knowledge of construction safety standards and regulations in Qatar.
• Good communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage).
• Ability to handle multiple site activities and ensure zero-incident culture.
Mandatory Certifications (Required):
• NEBOSH IGC (Mandatory)
• OSHA Certification
• First Aid & Fire Fighting Training
• Valid Qatar ID (Transferable Visa Preferred)
Preferred Skills:
• Experience in infrastructure/building projects.
• Strong reporting and documentation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
Responsibilities Duties:
• Implement and monitor Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) policies on site.
• Conduct daily site inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Identify hazards, conduct risk assessments, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure all workers follow safety procedures and use appropriate PPE.
• Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and training sessions.
• Prepare and maintain HSE reports, incident reports, and documentation.
• Coordinate with project managers and site engineers on safety matters.
• Investigate accidents/incidents and recommend preventive measures.
• Ensure compliance with Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS) and local regulations.
• Liaise with consultants, clients, and authorities regarding safety compliance.
