Job Description

The Junior Commercial & Compliance Controller supports the commercial operations and compliance functions by assisting with financial tracking, pricing governance, contract checks, internal controls, and audit coordination. This role is ideal for a detail?oriented, analytical professional looking to build expertise in commercial finance, compliance, risk management, and operational controls across the GCC region.
ESSENTIAL
• Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, data management, proficiency with MS Office/Excel, and experience with EDMS (e.g., SharePoint).
• Experience: Managing technical, project, or corporate documentation.
• Attributes: Proactive, collaborative, reliable, and able to maintain confidentiality.

DESIRABLE
• Industry data privacy certifications e.g. IAPP's CIPP (regional focus), ISACA's CDPSE (technical focus), and specialized programs like Certified Data Protection Officer (CDPO) (DPO role), CDP (Data Protection), and ISO 27701 (frameworks).
• Exposure to contract management frameworks
• Experience with Data Privacy laws
• Experience with GCC commercial laws

Responsibilities Duties:

Commercial Support

• Assist in preparing commercial reports, forecasts, and performance dashboards.
• Support analysis of sales data, revenue trends, and margin performance.
• Collaborate with the commercial team on pricing updates, quotation checks, and customer contract compliance.
• Track KPIs and provide insights to support business decisions.
• Verify accuracy of commercial documentation (POs, quotations, tenders, customer agreements).

Compliance, Audit & Internal Controls

• Assist with both external and internal tax audits, including collating and preparing required documentation.
• Prepare and review responses to audit queries and liaise with internal and external auditors where applicable.
• Perform depot audits across all GCC Rapid depots, ensuring operational and financial compliance.
• Support the preparation of Risk Assessments and Risk Registers, identifying potential exposure areas.
• Follow up on ongoing audits and track the implementation of corrective actions.
• Prepare status reports on all ongoing internal and external audits.
• Monitor implementation status of previous audit findings and escalate delays.
• Review gaps in internal controls and assist in developing policies and procedures that address identified risks.
• Support compliance with GCC commercial laws, maintaining awareness of regulatory updates and ensuring adherence across processes.
• Maintain documentation for internal controls, compliance reporting, and audit readiness.

Financial & Administrative Support

• Support budget monitoring, invoice validation, and cost-control activities.
• Prepare weekly and monthly internal reports for management review.
• Coordinate with finance, procurement, legal, and commercial teams for data collection and alignment.
• Maintain structured records, files, and compliance tracking logs.
