Construction Logistics Manager
Job Description
We are looking for a well experienced consultant Construction Logistics Manager to join the team in Dubai, to work on a new villas, mansions and residential project. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Logistics Manager on large scale new build construction projects and have worked with recognised main contractors previously.
Construction Logistics Manager Experience:
A degree qualification in Engineering or any equivalent degree
Minimum 6-10 years of experience in Construction Logistics
Professional Memberships are an advantage but not essential (CIOB / CMILT).
Operational experience in large scale, busy construction projects and programs
Brings new ideas, approaches or insights to their work and suggests process improvements
Persuades and influences others successfully towards a desired course of action.
Demonstrates a good perspective and ability to explore innovative approaches in pursuit of a better way.
Utilises new technology and helps others to adapt.
Responsibilities Duties:
- Develop and implement project-specific logistics strategies and plans to optimize the movement of resources.
- Manage the flow of materials, tools, and heavy equipment, including monitoring inventory levels, procurement, and storage.
- Work with suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and resources to the construction site.
- Coordinate the movement of people and equipment on-site and oversee site facilities management.
- Monitor and adjust delivery schedules to meet construction timelines and identify and resolve lead-time constraints.
- Manage budgets, analyze costs, and negotiate contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Develop and implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, codes, and standards.
- Supervise logistics staff, collaborate with project managers and other team members, and maintain good stakeholder relationships.
- Identify and resolve logistical challenges and delays proactively.
