Senior Accountant
Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team at a leading recruitment platform based in Dubai. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in managing financial records, ensuring compliance, and contributing to our company's financial success in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; ACCA, CPA, CIMA,CPA or CMA similar certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within the recruitment or technology industry.
- Minimum 2 years in Big4 firms as an External Auditor
- Solid knowledge of UAE accounting standards, VAT regulations, and financial reporting requirements.
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Proactive, highly organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Integrity and professional ethics in handling sensitive financial information.
Responsibilities Duties:
- Manage and oversee day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports in compliance with local regulations and company policies.
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, forecast future financial performance, and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Coordinate and lead the preparation for audits, liaising with external auditors and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded and documented, maintaining a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
- Manage VAT submissions and ensure compliance with UAE tax laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including finance, HR, and operations to support financial planning and budgeting processes.
- Continuously improve accounting systems, processes, and controls to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
