BTP Security Consultant
Job Description
We are seeking a candidate for the SAP BTP IAM Track position who possesses a strong foundational knowledge in administering the platform. The ideal candidate should be able to manage SAP BTP environments and oversees Identity and Access Management, ensuring secure and efficient cloud operations.
Qualifications:
- Completed bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, system engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Typically, 5+ years of experience in SAP administration, with significant expertise in SAP BTP administration. A minimum of 2-3 years in Cloud Identity Services is often desirable.
- Technical Skills: Profound knowledge of SAP BTP architecture, cloud environments (like Cloud Foundry and Kyma), and identity management concepts (OAuth, SAML). Familiarity with service integrations and security compliance.
- Certifications: Relevant SAP or cloud certifications (such as SAP Certified Technology Associate in BTP Administration) are advantageous.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, communication skills for cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Desirable Skills:
- Hands-on experience with BTP and Cloud identity services.
- Hands-on experience with Joule implementation with various LOB’s.
- Hands-on experience with CTMS/CAS implementation with various LOB’s.
- Knowledge of programming or scripting languages (like Python or JavaScript) for automation and integration tasks or terraform.
- Experience with DevOps tools like Jenkins or Docker for continuous integration and continuous delivery.
Responsibilities Duties:
- Manage and administer SAP BTP services, including tenant provisioning, user management, and service configurations within the BTP environment.
- Monitor the performance and availability of cloud services, ensuring optimal system functioning and addressing any issues that arise.
- Configure and manage Identity Authentication Service (IAS) and Identity Provisioning Service (IPS) for effective user identity and authorization lifecycle management.
- Facilitate the integration of SAP BTP with other SAP solutions (like SAP S/4HANA, SAP SuccessFactors, Ariba) and third-party applications, ensuring seamless connectivity and functionality.
- Implement and enforce security policies; manage roles and authorizations in line with SAP security best practices.
- Provide support in troubleshooting SAP BTP-related issues, including identity management problems and service disruptions.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for all processes and systems and provide training to users and stakeholders on SAP BTP and identity services functionalities.
