Senior Finance Officer
Job Description
The Senior Financial Officer is a senior member of the Finance team in the office.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance
• Master’s Degree in Finance or Accounting is preferred
• Finance certification (e.g. CPA, CFA, CMA) is preferred
• Excellent knowledge of local and international accounting standards (IFRS)
• 5+ years of experience in a finance function
• Experience in the Architecture, Engineering and Planning industry in is preferred
• Experience with financial accounting, management accounting and budgeting
• Knowledge of local financial reporting requirements(e.g. taxes)
• Good knowledge of financial operations including accounting, budgeting, reporting, financial control and treasury activities
• Familiarity with usage of finance systems and financial Management Information Systems (MIS)
• Good analytical and quantitative skills
• Good financial planning and budgeting skills
• Strong attention to details
• Proficiency in spoken and written English; Arabic is an advantage
Responsibilities Duties:
He plays a leading role in the provision of accounting, budgeting, and reporting, financial control and treasury activities. He constantly maintains general ledger and accounts and leads the development of the Geography’s annual budget in alignment with corporate policies, procedures and guidelines. He prepares periodic financial statements and reports depicting financial performance and financial KPIs. The jobholder also prepares invoices to local clients and follows up on the collection of invoices. He continuously monitors office cash flows and liquidity and maintains relations with local banks, as needed.
