Job Description
The Senior Slip Ring Design Engineer is responsible for the complete lifecycle design, structural analysis, and physical development of electromechanical rotating systems. The role ensures the successful execution of customized electro-mechanical configurations for defense and aerospace clients while maintaining the highest engineering tolerances and manufacturing excellence.
Required Qualifications * Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a highly related technical field.

5+ years of dedicated design experience specifically dealing with rotating electrical connectors or slip ring components.

Master-level proficiency with solid modeling tools like SolidWorks, Creo, or AutoCAD.
Preferred Skills * Strong mathematical analysis, engineering calculations, and component simulation skills.

Deep understanding of contact materials, precious metal finishes, and signal isolation physics.
Experience Required 5+ years of relevant experience within an active aerospace, defense, or electromechanical manufacturing design pipeline.
Responsibilities Duties:
Key Responsibilities * Coordinate and execute mechanical layouts and functional designs for rotating electromechanical contact assemblies.

Prepare detailed engineering schematics, bill of materials (BOM), and 3D CAD configurations.

Define tolerances and test materials according to specific contract engineering profiles.

Coordinate with production, quality auditing, and machining teams to ensure smooth prototype manufacturing.

Monitor test labs during lifecycle testing and promptly address signal degradation or friction failures.
