Head Pf QA/QC
Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for setting the project's quality strategy, establishing and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS), leading multidisciplinary QA/QC teams, and ensuring compliance with project specifications, contractual requirements, and international quality standards across all construction packages.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related Engineering discipline.
- Minimum 15 years' QA/QC experience on major infrastructure or heavy civil construction projects.
- Proven experience as a Head of QA/QC, Lead QA/QC, or QA/QC Manager on large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Strong experience in one or more of the following: (1) TBM Tunnelling, (2) Underground Stations, (3) Elevated Viaducts, (4) Precast Yards / Manufacturing Facilities
- Previous rail, metro, or high-speed rail project experience is highly desirable.
- In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001, Quality Management Systems (QMS), and international construction quality standards.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary quality teams across complex EPC or major infrastructure projects.
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Experience working with international contractors and multidisciplinary project teams is preferred.
Responsibilities Duties:
- Provide strategic leadership for all Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities across the project.
- Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Quality Management System (QMS).
- Lead, mentor, and manage QA/QC managers, engineers, inspectors, and quality personnel.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, contractual obligations, regulatory requirements, and international quality standards.
- Oversee inspections, testing, audits, surveillance activities, and quality reporting across all project packages.
- Review and approve Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, material submittals, and quality documentation.
- Collaborate with the client, consultants, subcontractors, and project leadership to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement.
- Monitor NCRs, root cause analyses, corrective and preventive actions, and ensure timely close-out.
- Foster a proactive quality culture and champion best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
