E Commerce Trade Manager
Job Description
The Trade Manager works cross-functionally across the business and leads one direct report. Combining strategy with hands-on execution, the role requires strong commercial instinct, a proactive trade mindset, and the ability to influence and align teams. This is a fast-paced, high-growth environment that demands commercial instinct, operational rigour, and the ambition to constantly push the business forward.
What you’ll need to succeed
- 7+ years of ecommerce experience with direct ownership of trade performance, budgets, and commercial results.
- Background in retail, ideally in a multi-branded or premium environment, with a strong understanding of the product, customer, and commercial dynamics that come with it.
- Strong financial acumen — comfortable with P&L, forecasting, and margin management.
- Highly analytical with the ability to translate data into clear commercial decisions and actions.
- Commercially driven and action-oriented — equally comfortable at a strategic level and in the day-to-day detail.
- Strong relationship-builder, able to earn trust quickly across functions and levels, and maintain effective collaboration in a fast-moving environment.
- Confident influencer — able to drive alignment, challenge constructively, and move teams to action.
- Comfortable operating at pace in a high-growth, multibrand environment.
Responsibilities Duties:
Trade strategy, performance & budgeting
- Own and drive ecommerce sales and gross margin targets across all GCC markets; monitor performance closely and react to risks and opportunities quickly.
- Monitor the full ecommerce funnel — from on-site behaviour through to operational performance.
- Identify gaps and put in place actions to maximise performance across all stages.
- Own the ecommerce budgeting and forecasting process across all GCC markets, zones, and departments, ensuring cross-functional alignment at every level.
- Lead the weekly trade meeting, ensuring structured updates, clear actions, and accountability; maintain a consistent commercial rhythm and proactively flag performance issues and opportunities.
- Stay close to market trends and competitor activity to keep the business reactive and commercially agile.
Promotional & digital communications calendar
- Own the promotional calendar end-to-end across all key trading moments, new season drops, and markdown periods, ensuring every moment is commercially planned, aligned, and well executed.
- Drive the digital communications and homepage calendar to ensure commercial relevance and maximum impact across all markets.
Commercial projects & innovation
- Identify and lead commercial projects and initiatives that drive incremental revenue or strengthen the trade model.
- Work with digital, tech, and product teams to identify and deliver site improvements with a clear commercial impact.
Cross-functional collaboration & team
- Embed a strong trade mindset across the wider ecommerce function — ensuring every team understands the commercial priorities, is focused on performance, and contributes proactively to driving the business forward.
- Build strong relationships across functions, driving alignment and shared ownership of commercial outcomes.
- Manage and develop one direct report, fostering commercial thinking and ownership of trade initiatives.
