Regional Director
Job Description
We are seeking an exceptional Regional Director to lead the organisation, driving profitable growth, strengthening customer relationships and expanding their market leadership throughout the region.
This is a unique opportunity for a commercially focused, entrepreneurial leader to take ownership of an established business with significant potential for further expansion.
You are an experienced senior executive with a proven record of leading and growing engineering, construction or industrial services businesses within Asia.
You will bring:
• Strong customer relationship and business development skills.
• Significant senior leadership experience, ideally as a Managing Director, General Manager or Regional Director. Sales or commercial directors would also be considered.
• Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated success in delivering profitable business growth.
• Experience managing multi-country operations within Asia.
• Experience of reporting to a board of directors.
• Good knowledge of either or a mix of the construction, logistics, materials handling and robotics markets in Asia.
• Excellent strategic planning and execution capabilities.
• Strong financial and operational management skills.
• Outstanding leadership, communication and influencing abilities.
• Experience developing high-performing teams across diverse cultures.
• Fluent verbal and written English language skills. Ability to converse technically in English.
• A willingness to travel extensively throughout Asia.
• A degree in Engineering, Construction, Business or a related discipline (desirable).
Experience within industrial flooring, concrete technology, logistics, warehousing/materials handling equipment or construction materials would be advantageous, although candidates from related engineering or industrial sectors are also encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities Duties:
• Develop and implement the strategic business plan.
• Deliver sustainable revenue and EBITDA growth across the region, whilst paying close attention to cash conversion.
• Lead and inspire high-performing commercial, technical and operational teams.
• Work with other regional heads to share best practice, ideas and resources
• Line Management responsibilities for Regional Managers and Administration Staff.
• Identify and develop new market opportunities, partnerships and strategic customers.
• Build long-term relationships with key clients, developers, contractors and industry stakeholders, while maintaining and expanding those already in place.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to their high quality standards. Analysing in detail the performance of the regional teams in the process.
• Drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement across all business functions, including the development and installation of systems and programmes to enhance reporting and accuracy, in line with wider policies.
• Manage financial performance/accounts including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and profitability.
• Recruit, develop and retain talented employees while fostering a positive, collaborative culture. Developing the business into an even more professional and corporate machine, capable of delivering the next stages of growth.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, corporate governance requirements and policies.
• Represent the organisation at industry events and with major customers throughout the region.
