Business Intelligence Developer
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Business Intelligence Developer with strong Power BI skills and experience working with modern data platforms. The role will focus on developing data solutions, dashboards and reporting within a Microsoft Fabric environment, while working closely with technical and business teams across the organisation.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong hands-on experience with Power BI, including data modelling, DAX, report design and performance optimisation
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric is preferred, or Azure Data Platform technologies such as Synapse or Data Factory
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with structured and semi-structured data
- Good understanding of data modelling, including star schemas and semantic models
- Understanding of data lake architectures and modern data platforms
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to connect data with business outcomes
- Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders, ideally within a global organisation
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Analytical, proactive and able to work independently as well as part of a team
Desirable:
- Experience with Infor M3 or other ERP systems
- Exposure to Shopify / eCommerce analytics
- Knowledge of data governance and data quality frameworks
- Experience within manufacturing, supply chain or eCommerce environments
- Experience working within a multinational organisation
Responsibilities Duties:
- Develop and maintain data pipelines, datasets and semantic models within Microsoft Fabric
- Work with OneLake to support consistent and governed data usage
- Support the transition from legacy BI systems to a modern Fabric-based architecture
- Design, build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports
- Develop intuitive visualisations that provide actionable business insights
- Optimise report performance and usability
- Support self-service BI across the organisation
- Work closely with BI, Development, Integration and Technical Operations teams
- Translate business requirements into effective technical solutions
- Ensure data quality, consistency and governance standards are maintained
- Support the delivery of BI initiatives aligned with business priorities
