Job Description
Our client is a leading Tier 1 Civil & Infrastructure Contractor with a strong track record of delivering major infrastructure projects across the UAE and wider GCC region. Following the recent commencement of a major new highway project in the UAE, they are looking to appoint an experienced Project Director to take overall responsibility for its successful delivery.
Requirements & Qualifications:
• Education: BSc in Civil Engineering.
• UAE Experience: Proven experience delivering major civil or infrastructure projects within the UAE, including previous experience working with the RTA.
• Highways Experience: Recent contractor-side experience delivering large-scale highway projects within the UAE or wider GCC region.
• Background: Must currently or recently have worked for a major Civil & Infrastructure Contractor in a senior project leadership position.
• Location: Open to candidates across the GCC, provided they have strong previous UAE project experience.
• Languages: Fluent English is essential; Arabic is a strong advantage.
Responsibilities Duties:
This is a senior leadership position with responsibility for the delivery of a major highway and associated infrastructure project. Working across both the project site and office, the Project Director will lead the project team and take overall responsibility for programme, commercial performance, quality, safety and client delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Project Leadership: Take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of the project from mobilisation through to completion and handover.
• Team Management: Lead and coordinate the project management, engineering, commercial and construction teams.
• Programme & Delivery: Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the required quality standards.
• Commercial Oversight: Maintain senior-level oversight of project costs, contractual matters, risk and overall commercial performance.
• Client & Stakeholder Management: Act as the senior project representative, maintaining strong relationships with the client, RTA and other key project stakeholders.
